Live in Cases available. Looking for open or flexible availability. Serving Dutchess, Putnam and Westchester Counties.

Job Responsibilities:

Assist clients with activities of daily living, including: Meal Preparation/Diet/Eating, Light Housekeeping, Dressing, Mobility, Personal hygiene, Medication reminders, Transportation as needed, provide safety, oversight and supervision of clients to ensure their ability to continue to live at home.

Able to use care Equipment (walker, cane, wheelchair, commode, hospital bed, hoyer lift, and a variety of house hold appliances)

Is responsible, respectful and cooperative with patients/families, supervisors, fellow employees

Maintains friendly working atmosphere

Maintains appropriate attitude

Maintains appropriate appearance

Accepts constructive criticism as evidenced by appropriate changes in behavior

Utilizes established channels of communication

Recognizes limitations and seeks assistance appropriately

Follows agencies policies and procedures

Qualifications:

Must have NYS certification for PCA or HHA's

Must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19

Meets NYS health requirements with proof of immunizations and PPD within 1 year.

Recent physical

Two quality references

Ability to speak and understand English to interpret the care plans, document changes, or call agency

Meet the physical demands

Positive and compassionate attitude

Valid Driver's License or reliable transportation is required

Hoyer lift experience a plus- but we will train

HHA OR PCA (Required) Successful completion of a NYS DOH approved training program as demonstrated by a valid certificate and registry number.
