- Require good hand-eye coordination for assembly operations using hand tools and equipment under a microscope.
- Follow and document bill of materials, work instructions, and test procedures.
- Measure and record performance metrics with dimensional equipment.
- Operate within a quality management system and document operations with a manufacturing traveler.
- Assist engineering with minimal guidance and supervision.
- Report assembly activities to the immediate supervisor.
- Support company goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 5 years of assembly experience.
- Ability to follow instructions, prioritize work, handle multiple tasks, work under deadlines, and apply technical skills.
- Experience working under a microscope.
- Experience in hand soldering within medical or electronic industries.
- Knowledge of using UV adhesives and thermal bonding for assembly.
- Preference for candidates with catheter assembly and testing experience.
- Willingness to learn Good Manufacturing Practices and company procedures.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and training skills.
- Sound decision-making abilities and good judgment.
- Organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Expertise in prototyping and manufacturing methods suitable for the medical device industry.
- 6-8 weeks of on-site training in Rancho Bernardo location.
- Permanent position at Carlsbad location.
- May involve lifting up to 20 pounds. Reasonable accommodations available for physically challenged employees.
