    We are seeking a dedicated individual to serve as a Volunteer Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for our organization based in Pennsylvania.

    The CFO will oversee all financial aspects of the organization, provide strategic financial guidance, and ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations specific to Pennsylvania.

    This is a non-paid, volunteer position with a significant impact on our mission and operations.


    Responsibilities:
    1. Oversee the organization's financial management and reporting processes, ensuring compliance with Pennsylvania accounting and tax regulations.2. Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with relevant Pennsylvania laws.3. Prepare and present financial reports to the board of directors and key stakeholders, incorporating Pennsylvania-specific financial data and regulations.4. Provide strategic financial guidance to support decision-making and organizational growth, taking into account Pennsylvania-specific financial considerations.5. Ensure compliance with all Pennsylvania accounting standards, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.6. Manage budgeting and forecasting processes to optimize financial performance and resource allocation, considering Pennsylvania-specific financial factors.7. Collaborate with external auditors and tax professionals familiar with Pennsylvania regulations to facilitate audits and tax filings.8.

    Serve as a resource for staff and volunteers on financial matters, providing training and support as needed, with an emphasis on Pennsylvania-specific financial practices.9.

    Stay informed about developments in Pennsylvania accounting and tax regulations and implement necessary changes to ensure compliance and best practices.10.

    Participate in board meetings and contribute to strategic planning and organizational development efforts, offering insights based on Pennsylvania-specific financial knowledge.


    Qualifications:
    1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.2.

    Proven experience in financial management, accounting, and tax compliance, preferably in a nonprofit or similar environment with knowledge of Pennsylvania regulations.3.

    Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and with specific knowledge of Pennsylvania accounting and tax regulations.4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.5. Ability to communicate financial information effectively to diverse audiences, both verbally and in writing, including Pennsylvania-specific financial matters.6. Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.7. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.8. Commitment to the mission and values of the organization.
