    The UX Website Content Strategist/Content Designer applies and updates existing UX strategies to accommodate changes to the company's websites and migrations across platforms.

    The UX Website Content Strategist/Content Designer assesses website content needs, recommends solutions and stewards the content for multiple websites (primarily B2B) across business units.


    Cultivate strong relationships with UX team members, marketing managers, writers and designers, collaborating to deliver relevant content to the intended audience in the right way, in the right place, at the right time.

    Relationship building especially with the marketing teams is essential.
    Drive, advocate and embody a customer-centric perspective
    Align deliverables with the established UX strategy across websites
    Collaborate with UX team members, marketing managers, writer and designers to produce deliverables at a project level:
    Identify the content demands for website projects
    Determine where on the website and on the page the proposed content should go, watching for cross-linking opportunities
    Select the CMS design patterns that will present the content in the most engaging way
    Prepare content documents, based on text from writers and images from the designers, that provide clear instructions for the CMS content author
    Review images from designers to ensure they are sized properly and align with the UX strategy
    Write meta data and alt tags to optimize pages for search engines
    Review built content for errors and document corrections that are needed

    Additional Functions

    In addition to the essential functions listed above, the incumbent may perform the following additional functions.

    Conduct research using Conductor to identify opportunities for optimizing content for search engines, to write meta data and alt tags, and to establish the URL
    Collaborate with the analytics team and review G4 and Full Story data to identify opportunities to increase user engagement with the content and increase conversions
    Organize and manage migrations of websites from one platform to another
    Conduct content audits and content-focused usability audits
    Write UX-related e-commerce content such as tip tools and instructions
    Communicate a common understanding of content responsibilities and expectations across people and teams
    Identify and escalate deliverables/issues to the UX manager
    Bring contemporary thinking, techniques and style to auditing, analyzing and articulating the delta between current state and ideal state
    Some content authoring within the CMS may be necessary

    Required Qualifications

    5+ years of UX content strategy/design or similar role in the B2B space

    Fluency in digital content best practices: you know how to work with a CMS and how to structure content so it can be easily consumed and understood.

    You have a sophisticated understanding of contemporary web writing, on-page SEO and content design techniques, and you feel comfortable sharing your expertise with colleagues.

    Solid understanding of keyword research for SEO and beyond
    Comfort balancing the priorities of marketing managers with users' needs

    Clear understanding of information architecture:
    You are comfortable developing and documenting information architecture recommendations for websites,
    of sites and individual pages.
    Exceptional attention to detail
    Ability to work independently (mostly remotely) and adapt to changing project needs
