- Assessing the risk induced by new tasks or reworks on the aircraft/components' progress and defining action plans to negate those risks. Proposing risk reduction plans for future improvement.
- Coordinating and managing daily technical action plans and following up with the assembly team managers concerning the assignment of tasks, operations, and discrepancies to be performed on the aircraft/components according to the schedule and expected quality level.
- Conducting daily monitoring of critical issues and making improvements when needed (including but not limited to shortages, technical events, and scheduling actions necessary to keep the line moving).
- Reporting to the assembly team Manager about critical issues with input regarding recommendations and actions to resolve them.
- Coordinating with other departments as required ensuring materials, parts, documentation, engineering data, and other items are delivered to the aircraft or shop on time.
- Ability to conduct root cause analysis and define a corrective action plan to improve the process or product regarding cost, schedule, quality, etc.
- Managing aircraft/components transfers, projects, and new processes under the supervision of the Business Unit management.
- Utilizing support teams to maintain the aircraft/components production process and to improve the schedule.
- May be selected as the assembly team's subject matter expert (SME) for special projects.
- Bachelor's Degree in Aviation Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in aircraft completions, maintenance, and/or components manufacturing.
- Aeronautical experience is required.
- Knowledge of engineering practices and challenges related to the management of the production process including CNC processes or composite manufacturing is required.
- Ability to research, analyze, and recommend efficient production processes through production engineering concepts regarding work-study, ergonomics, operation research, root cause analysis, manufacturing management, materials management, production planning, etc.
- Ability to read, understand, and communicate (both verbally and in writing) technical information contained in aircraft maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.
- Proven abilities in analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems by determining and following detailed action plans.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Project, Access, and SharePoint.
- Must be able to function throughout the total facility, including up and down stairs and in and out of aircraft with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Fluent in French
