    Salary Scale: AFSCME, UA Grades 10-11



    EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

    1. High School Diploma
    2. Minimum two years of experience in events coordination or office management
    QUALIFICATIONS
    • Able to manage requests from multiple organizations, providing excellent customer service while prioritizing the academic needs of the school
    • Physical dexterity; lots of walking, stairs, occasional moving of tables, chairs, podiums, etc.
    • Position requires presence in many sensitive meetings and frequent interactions with school administration and public officials.
    • Experience with budgets, scheduling, and cash handling preferred
    • Considerable knowledge of effective office practices and procedures/excellent organizational skills
    • Ability and willingness to establish and maintain excellent public and community relations
    • Ability to react quickly and effectively to oral and written instructions
    • Possesses excellent oral and written language skills (grammar, punctuation, spelling)
    • Ability to use good judgment and problem solving skills to address issues and concerns within the scope of job responsibility
    • Computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn additional software programs as needed
    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
    • Maintain master schedule of events (North Point Calendar)
    • Schedules all indoor and outdoor activities, including academic, club, athletic, school system, and community activities
    • Coordinates with building services staff, security staff, NP Culinary Dept catering, technology, equipment, and space for events.
    • Prepares correspondence and other documents as required
    • Availability evenings, weekends, and extended days - flexible schedule
    • Responds to requests and maintains open communication with office of school administration and other central office divisions
    • Answers phone, takes accurate messages, welcomes and assists visitors to the school
    • Receives, sorts and forwards mail and messages for the school staff
    • Maintains regular on-time attendance and dependable
    • Responsible for database management and billing for events
    • Performs other duties as prescribed by the school principal
    ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    The environmental factors and/or physical requirements of this position include the following: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard. The employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.
