    Description

    Overview:

    The tech lead integrates technical expertise with managerial skills, managing and guiding a team of software engineers as part of a cross-functional product team in aligning their technical efforts with business objectives, fostering innovation, and ensuring high-quality product delivery.

    *This position is a hybrid role. Employees work collaboratively in office on Tuesday and Wednesday in Parsippany, NJ*

    Job Description:

    WHAT YOU'LL DO

    • Manage, mentor and develop people in their team.
    • Conduct performance reviews, manage team dynamics, and resolve conflicts.
    • Work closely with product managers, designers, customers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
    • Responsible for the feasibility aspect, the how and when, in the product development process.
    • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies and assess their potential impact on our development practices.
    • Conduct code reviews, ensuring code quality, adherence to coding standards, and knowledge sharing among team members.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable, reliable, maintainable, and secure software solutions.
    • Lead the technical design and development, ensuring non-functional requirements.
    • Accountability for documenting and resolving technical debt.
    • Strong focus on continuous improvement and learning.
    • Build a culture of empathy through leading by example.
    Job Requirements:

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED

    • Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field. Relevant experience can compensate for formal education.
    • Minimum 7 years of experience as a Tech Lead or similar role.
    • Understanding of cloud architectures and services, preferably on Google Cloud Platform.
    • Strong experience in building cloud native applications, both server-side and front-end, preferably with , TypeScript, and relevant frontend libraries and frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, ).
    • Strong understanding of software design patterns, architecture, and best practices.
    • Understanding of DevOps practices and tools, including test automation and continuous delivery.
    • Experience from delivering products with cross-functional teams.
    • Ability to mentor, lead and manage technical teams effectively.
    • Have a proactive and collaborative approach to leadership and be a team-player.
    • Have an analytical mindset, be reliable and focused.
    • Be strategic with the ability to align technology decisions with the strategy and goals.
    • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
