    The manager will help us carry out our mission by 1) having a passion to learn, 2) having a passion to teach, 3) fostering a work atmosphere that showcases an unrivaled level of commitment to team work, which will ultimately be conducive to all members of the team providing an excellent service to our clients, and 4) continuously challenging the "norm" and how we may change the structure of public accounting, through firm initiatives and strategic planning.

    Managers will not only offer countless hours of training and one-on-one coaching to supervisors, seniors, associates, and interns, but they will also be asked to commit to meetings and gatherings focused on firm improvement (generosity of time).

    Ultimately, the manager will have a depth of expertise across their practice area with a focus on continuous improvement in all areas of the business.


    Responsibilities:
    Project manages all client assignments.
    Develops and strengthens long-term relationships with senior client management and peer client levels.
    Develops and is accountable for the assignment work plan and ensures assigned tasks and responsibilities are achieved.
    Helps develop solutions for clients and manages the implementation of ideas.

    Advises, coaches and supports team members including providing consistent recognition and encouragement to team members to increase retention and utilization.

    Successfully builds and directs motivated and empowered work teams.
    Manages proposal development and research gathering as requested.
    Structures work teams to successfully meet client expectations and help develop strong client partnerships.

    Works in consultation with the operations manager to anticipate project issues, assesses alternatives and takes appropriate measure to resolve assignment issues.

    Manages the assignment budget and profitability in their area of responsibility.
    Anticipates and communicates budget issues, identifies opportunities to improve assignment profitability and prepares billings and assists in collections.
    Identifies client

    needs/opportunities

    to sell additional value-added services.
    Identifies cross-selling opportunities and refers them to the appropriate team member.
    Leverages commercial and market knowledge to anticipate client needs for new/additional services.
    Supports the partner in the development and planning of practice objectives and budgets.
    Development of functional specialization and/or industry expertise.
    Supports the partner/s in developing new initiatives to increase retention, meet resourcing needs, utilization and people development.
    Provides clear and timely instruction, leading to efficient production and limited need for rework.
    Connects with new employees and aids them in navigating their new job.
    Actively pursues self-development opportunities.
    Stays current on applicable tax law changes and other regulatory updates and communicates updates to impacted clients.


    Requirements:
    Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
    CPA license required
    5+ years of accounting experience
    5+ years of working in a public accounting firm
    Tax experience with individuals and businesses
