Key Responsibilities for the Traffic Engineer include:

Executing comprehensive traffic analyses utilizing advanced traffic modeling and simulation tools, with a focus on signal sequencing, phasing, and timing optimization.

Crafting and implementing strategic traffic engineering plans encompassing intersections, signal systems, pavement markings, signage, and construction staging.
Collaborating closely on the formulation of contractual documentation, encompassing detailed plans, technical specifications, and precise construction cost estimations.

Qualifications for the ideal Traffic Engineer:
Advanced degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
Aspiring to attain Engineer-in

• Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.

Extensive experience spanning 5-10 years in traffic engineering, traffic flow optimization, signal timing, and related domains.
Mastery in traffic modeling software platforms such as Synchro and Vissim.
