    TRAVEL Register Nurse – PCU/ Tele/ Med Surg Float

    Location: Lincoln, NE

    Weekly Gross: $2,234.00

    Tax Free Stipend: $

    Hours: 36 hours per week


    Shift: 12 HR Nights

    Requirements:
    • BLS,

    • Minimum of 2 years of PCU experience required

    • Minimum of 1 year of Med Surg and Tele experience required

    • Graduate of an accredited nursing program

    • BLS

    • ACLS

    • Nebraska or multi-state RN license


    General job duties/types of procedures required:

    **This is a PCU-level position that will float to Med Surg and Tele.**

    The Float Pool RN performs therapeutic nursing interventions and manages the care of patients with conditions common to the various units assigned including, but not limited to: general surgical patients (including outpatient surgicals); medical patients (including infant to geriatric populations); neurological patients; renal patients; oncology patients; cardiovascular patients; pediatric patients; subacute and rehab patients; and orthopedic patients.

    Additionally float personnel working in the PCU areas will be required to complete modified ECCO curriculum, PCU hemodynamic monitoring, EKG monitoring and ACLS.

    The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for meeting patient's priority needs by assessing, participating in interdisciplinary care planning, providing and /or delegating care and evaluating patients' responses and progress toward clinical outcomes. The RN contributes to an efficient and effective work environment through activities including professional communication and documentation.

    Equipment utilized in the unit/dept.:

    EPIC computerized charting, MAK scanning medication administration, PACS radiology viewing system, Vocera communication technology, & Pyxis medication storage.

    Shift or schedule requirements:

    12-hour shifts. Will be required to work every 3rd weekend. Employee will never work alone.

    Nurse to patient ratio of this unit:

    PCU 3:1

    Med Surg/Tele 4:1
