    Electrical Engineer - Postsecondary Education - Base Salary to 100k/year – Minneapolis, MN

    Our client, a pioneer institution in technical education with a history spanning over a century, is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their esteemed faculty.

    We are in search of an Electrical Engineer with significant industry experience who is eager to transition into an educational role, where prior teaching experience is NOT required but a passion for sharing knowledge and mentoring students is essential.

    The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of practical experience in Electrical/Computer Engineering, coupled with a genuine interest in cultivating the skills of aspiring professionals.


    Responsibilities:
    Develop and enhance Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Engineering curricula through innovative delivery methods
    Foster effective collaboration with colleagues within the School of Engineering
    Lead learning activities to equip students with essential principles, theories, skills, and professional work ethic for entry-level positions
    Cultivate a conducive and encouraging learning atmosphere
    Provide ongoing support, assessment, and guidance to learners
    Incorporate contemporary academic and industry practices into course instruction
    Contribute to the enhancement and maintenance of lesson materials, training aids, and equipment within assigned courses
    Assist in student recruitment and placement initiatives
    Engage with industry and professional organizations to uphold program excellence and academic standards
    Contribute to the evolution of laboratory experiences and recommend equipment upgrades within the program
    Participate in industry Program Advisory Committee (PAC) to evaluate curriculum, budget, and equipment requirements
    Collaborate on curriculum development initiatives with other School of Engineering programs
    Stay abreast of advancements in the field to ensure curriculum currency and relevance
    Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned

    Qualifications:
    Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or closely related major
    Any master's degree or higher and a minimum of 18 graduate credits in the subject they will be teaching
    Any master's degree or higher AND professional licensure
    3+ years of recent and relevant professional technical experience
    Prior teaching experience is not a requirement
