Rotating Day/Night shifts (3 shifts of 12 hours; 19:00 - 07:30 & 07:00 - 19:30) with a three-week cycle.

Job Description

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will work in the Family Birthplace, providing care to patients throughout the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum stages. Responsibilities include managing high-risk deliveries, assisting in surgical procedures, and offering support and education to new parents.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in the L&D unit.
• Monitor and evaluate patient conditions, providing necessary interventions.
• Assist in deliveries and postpartum care.
• Educate patients and families on childbirth, postpartum care, and breastfeeding.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Float as needed within the specialty and sister units.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Active Maryland RN license.
• BLS, NRP required; ACLS, STABLE, and AWHONN preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred.
