PRN Patient Access Rep II to join our Patient Access Services Department at our Baptist ED Town Center location here in the Jacksonville, FL area. - Registering patients accurately and efficiently
- Utilizing multiple systems and interfaces Cross-Trained in order to work in multiple patient access areas
- Maintaining service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters
- Contributing to PAS Goals as defined annually (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.)
- Possessing a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO
- Maintaining a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members
- Articulating compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms
- Maintaining patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
- 1-2 years Customer Service Experience Required
- 1-2 years Insurance Experience Required
- 1-2 years Healthcare Experience Required
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) Preferred

The new 16-bed emergency center at the St. Johns Town Center houses two emergency centers under one roof - one for adults and one for children.
Conveniently located near the intersection of Interstate 295 and Town Center Parkway, the Baptist/Wolfson Children's emergency center is a true hospital ER, staffed 24/7 by board-certified emergency medicine physicians.
On-site technology includes ultrasound, CT scanner, X-ray, a full service laboratory and telemedicine consultation services.
