- Over 20 oncology nurse navigators supporting patients and families throughout their cancer journeys.
- 9 locations throughout Minnesota and Western Wisconsin.
- Full-time position. Call 1:4 weeks, surgical oncology and breast only. No general surgery call.
- The on-campus team includes 3 surgical oncologists dedicated to breast and CGSO, as well as medical oncologists, dedicated APP support and radiation oncologists.
- The on-campus program is supported by the greater metro department, which boasts a comprehensive surgical oncology practice including 2 additional surgical oncologists, thoracic surgeons, urologic surgery, and HPB programming across 2 other metro sites.
- The practice includes the spectrum of CGSO cases with a focus on GI, melanoma and sarcoma. No breast coverage needed.
- Weekly multi-disciplinary tumor board meetings
- Hospital Level 2 trauma with in-house general surgeons 24/7.
- Robust IR and GI support
- Works collaboratively with patients to improve their health and well-being.
- Practices in a thoughtful manner including consideration for cultural diversity, individual autonomy and legal responsibilities.
- Actively participates in multidisciplinary team approach to case management.
- May participate in peer review and quality assurance.
- Utilizes quality improvement tools to develop processes that promote continuous improvement in delivery of patient care, patient outcomes, or work flows.
- MD, DO, or foreign equivalency training required.
- Completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) accredited Residency training program in Internal Medicine required.
- Graduate of an accredited ACGME Surgical Oncology fellowship training program required.
- BE/BC with ABMS or AOA required.
- Active, non-restricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain)
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
- Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and hospital privileges.
- BLS required within 180 Days of hire.
