    Description

    Title - Data Center Technician

    Location - San Antonio, TX

    Duration - 6 Months Contract (possible extension)

    About the Role:

    Our Team is currently seeking a strong Data Center Technician to support both company-specific servers as well as data center buildouts at customer data centers. The ideal candidate balances strong technical hardware, physical network set up, and verbal/written communication skills, who are also are highly analytical with superior attention-to-detail, self-motivated, and a positive, humble 'results driven' attitude.

    Related Skills:

    • Required Experience: 2+yrs and above
    • Hardware / Server Troubleshooting skills
    • Great server hardware knowledge with a deep understanding of all component & system type failures
    • Utilize Linux and Windows Command-Line to troubleshoot hardware.
    • Physical Network Set-Up
    • Network troubleshooting of Layer-1, Layer-2, Layer-3
    • Ability to independently and regularly lift items weighing up to 50lbs or in partnership for items over 50lbs in weight.
    • Education: High School Diploma / Associate/ Bachelors / Equivalent experience

    Minimum expectations:

    • 3+ years of experience
    • CompTIA A+ or equivalent experience
    • CompTIA Server+ or equivalent experience
    • CCENT or equivalent experience
    • Travel with the ability to work a flexible schedule as needed.
    • Ability to independently and regularly lift items weighing up to 50lbs or in partnership for items over 50lbs in weight.
    • Ability to work autonomously and within a local or geographically dispersed team environment.
