- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with disabilities.
- Adapt and modify curriculum to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Collaborate with general education teachers and other staff to integrate students into mainstream classes when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on student progress.
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development sessions.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid state teaching certification in Special Education.
- Strong understanding of various disabilities and effective teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
