- Diagnose system malfunctions of fire alarms and adjust, repair or replace equipment as needed to bring into compliance.
- Preparing accurate and timely service tickets and reports
- Ability to work independently or supervise others as required
- Complete documentation associated with fire alarm services provided
- Customer service, coordination, and communication
- NICET certifications a plus, but not required
- Installation experience and prior construction experience a plus.
- Diagnosis and Troubleshooting skills of commercial low voltage systems
- Must have a positive and respectful attitude to maintain good working relationships with management staff, employees, vendors and customers.
- Competent computer skills
- Field electrical and/or electronic practical experience required.
- AA degree in electronics preferred, but not required or equivalent technical/Military school supplemented with 3-5 years of related industry experience is a plus
- Valid drivers license
- Able to obtain Maryland and Virginia security technician license as required. Paid for by ARK.
- Physically able to climb overhead or crawl under spaces to complete jobs
- Must be willing to work at heights
- Must be able to operate electrical tools
- Must be able to differentiate color coding of cables
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times
