    Overview of the Director of IT role:

    • Direct the IT department, overseeing roles such as network administration, database management, and desktop support.
    • Cybersecurity Oversight: Manage the implementation and maintenance of security protocols, encompassing firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and data encryption.
    • Disaster Recovery Planning: Develop and execute strategies to safeguard vital data and systems in case of emergencies.
    • Asset Management: Supervise systems for tracking the lifecycle of hardware and software assets.
    • Budget Management: Ensure efficient allocation of resources by overseeing the IT budget.
    • Technology Strategy Development: Create and implement long-term technology strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
    • Infrastructure Management: Lead the design, deployment, and upkeep of the schools network infrastructure.
    • Hardware Procurement and Setup: Make decisions regarding the schools hardware requirements and supervise procurement and installation processes. Software Solutions Selection: Identify and implement suitable software solutions for departmental needs while ensuring timely updates.
