- Direct the IT department, overseeing roles such as network administration, database management, and desktop support.
- Cybersecurity Oversight: Manage the implementation and maintenance of security protocols, encompassing firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and data encryption.
- Disaster Recovery Planning: Develop and execute strategies to safeguard vital data and systems in case of emergencies.
- Asset Management: Supervise systems for tracking the lifecycle of hardware and software assets.
- Budget Management: Ensure efficient allocation of resources by overseeing the IT budget.
- Technology Strategy Development: Create and implement long-term technology strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Infrastructure Management: Lead the design, deployment, and upkeep of the schools network infrastructure.
- Hardware Procurement and Setup: Make decisions regarding the schools hardware requirements and supervise procurement and installation processes. Software Solutions Selection: Identify and implement suitable software solutions for departmental needs while ensuring timely updates.
- Vendor Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with technology vendors and service providers, managing contracts effectively.
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading a school IT department or department in a technology-related field
- Strong project management skills and demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and execute initiatives
