    Description


    Our client is seeking an experienced Regulatory Specialist who will encompass overseeing regulatory and technical matters pertinent to offshore shallow-water oil and gas production endeavors.

    This position involves meticulous document preparation and addressing regulatory challenges.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Preparing regulatory documentation essential for offshore shallow-water oil/gas production and exploration, overseeing the process from inception to approval.

    Proficiency in managing a variety of documents including BSEE, BOEM, and USCG applications for diverse operations such as well work, pipeline installations, and platform modifications.

    Compiling and maintaining reports concerning well activities, structural installations, and pipeline status, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
    Being available for on-call duties, responding to after-hours calls as necessary.
    Updating and organizing regulatory files and documentation, conducting regulatory research, and refining understanding of regulatory processes.


    Requirements:
    Thorough understanding of permitting processes related to oil/gas production and exploration.
    Proficiency in industry codes and regulations relevant to the field.
    Ability and willingness to conduct regulatory research and comprehend complex regulations.
    Familiarity with regulatory agencies such as BSEE, BOEM, USCG, EPA, and US Corps of Engineers.
    Experience with BSEE's TIMs Web and eWell applications, and ability to interpret plats and wellbore diagrams.
    Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and collaborate effectively across various organizational levels.
    Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
    Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    Willingness to be on-call after business hours and occasional travel to meet with regulators. Familiarity with Exploration Plans and Development Operations Coordination Documents is advantageous.
