    Chasewood Learning offers STEM based education enrichment learning classes to children that reinforce learning in school. Our programs focus on robotics, programming, and engineering using our curriculum that is based on LEGO Education, MIT, and other lead STEM education solutions. We instruct students from 6-14 years old in schools, park districts and our Learning Center.

    We are looking for qualified instructors to join our team now. Locations for this position are in the West-Southwest suburbs, near, as well asor in our Learning Center located in Naperville, IL. Hours are flexible. During the school year, anywhere from 5-15 hours/week, weekdays from 3PM-8:00PM, along with occasional Saturday mornings. Summer camps are held June through mid-August, hours/week, M-F, morning sessions 9am-noon, and afternoon sessions 2pm-5pm.

    As an instructor, you will work with children to instruct, problem solve, and guide them through hands-on projects. Our class sizes are between 10 and 30 children. After school programs are held weekly during the school year at area school districts and during the day at summer school in June. Our Park District classes are mixed ages from 6-14 years old and held weekly at a given location in the evenings during the school year and during the morning and afternoon for summer camps. Instructors will work alone or with an assistant, based class size.

    Pay will depend upon your role and experience, from $20-50 per hour as a lead instructor, while our assistants receive $15 per hour.

    Responsibilities
    - Teaching afterschool, evening classes of 10-30 students, either alone or with an assistant based on class size.
    - Organization and upkeep of materials for classes (robotics kits, computers, etc.)

    Requirements
    - Knowledgeable about technology, computers, tablets and software
    - Willing to spend time to learn and explore topics such as coding, robotics, and other child-friendly STEM technologies
    - Must have reliable transportation to and from locations.
    - Ability to lift 15-25 lbs.
    - Experience teaching recommended.
    - Experience with robotics or computer programming recommended.
    - Chasewood Learning requires a background check and may require fingerprinting depending on location specific requirements within school districts.
