Job summary
Risk Manager Job Description Responsible for coordinating functions and activities in the department Conducts investigations for risk mitigation and makes recommendations for loss prevention Collaborates with department director Office of the General Counsel outside defense counsel third party investigator and other hospital personnel on issues relating to Risk Management Participates in system wide performance improvement activities Principal Accountabilities Advises the Leader regarding pertinent issues and problems relating to risk issues in the operation of the hospital Assists with the maintenance and revisions to the incident reporting system Develops and provides Risk Management orientation and other educational services for personnel regarding risk issues as required by state statute Investigates reports DOH all allegations of sexual misconduct reported by patients families or employees Participates claims management activities such as responding requests productions interrogatories etc Prepares assists preparation presentation periodic reports regarding Risk Management services financial activites special reports Provides information evaluation revision hospital regulations policies procedures Recommends implements changes potential known exposures Research maintains trending data Risk Management medical nursing standards care identified through incident report patient grievances Required QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor degree healthcare related field preferred Minimum years experience highly preferred Minimum years healthcare work experience required Clinical license About Us Atlantic Health System our promise communities Anyone enters one of facilities will receive highest quality care delivered right time right place wrong cost This commitment echoed respect development opportunities team members Headquartered Morristown New Jersey leading non-profit health care systems nation Our facilities sites include Morristown Medical Center Summit NJ Overlook Medical Center Newton NJ Chilton Medical Center Pompton Plains NJ Hackettstown Medical Cente Hackettstown NJ Goryeb Children Hospital Morristown NJ CentraState Healthcare Freehold NJ Atlantic Home Care Hospice Atlantic Mobile Health Atlantic Rehabilitation We also have community-based healthcare providers affiliated through Atlantic Medical Group.
