- Provide direction and leadership for the mechanical engineering department, aligning with the overall strategic goals and objectives of the company.
- Take ownership of mechanical engineering projects from inception to completion. Define project scope, create schedules, allocate resources, and monitor progress to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive successful project outcomes. Manage and delegate project tasks to maintain client expectations and project deliverables.
- Act as a subject matter expert in mechanical engineering, offering insights into best practices and the latest technologies.
- Ensure that all mechanical designs and solutions comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and safety regulations. Stay current on evolving guidelines and integrate them into engineering practices.
- Identify areas for process improvement within the mechanical engineering department and implement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality.
- Collaborate with other disciplines within the company to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly into multidisciplinary projects and ensure cohesive project outcomes.
- Prepare comprehensive engineering documentation, technical reports, and project progress updates. Present findings to stakeholders and management as required.
