    As a Director Materials Management here at Honeywell, youwill be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the success of the materialsmanagement organization and function within our Aerospace business unit. Yourprimary objectives will include optimizing supply chain efficiency, reducingcosts, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to support our productionschedules in the aerospace industry. You will use your leadership andmanagement skills, deep understanding of inventory management systems, and a strategicapproach to sourcing and procurement.

    Youwill report directly to our Sr Director Materials Management and you will workout of our Torrance, CA location onsite.Your strategic oversight ensures a streamlined and efficient supply chain,minimizing costs and maximizing resource utilization. Your ability to optimizeinventory levels and establish effective procurement strategies directlyimpacts the company's bottom line by reducing operational expenses and ensuringa constant flow of materials for production. Your proactive approach tomaterials management contributes significantly to meeting production deadlines,enhancing overall business resilience, and customer satisfaction.
    Key Responsibilities
    • Develop and ensure the success ofcomprehensive materials management strategies aligned with the company'soverall objectives in the aerospace industry.
    • Collaborate with cross-functionalteams to understand production schedules, forecast demand, and establisheffective procurement plans for aerospace applications.
    • Track total procurement activities,including effective vendor selection and contract management to secure areliable and cost-effective supply of materials for aerospace projects.
    • Oversee inventory levels, minimizingexcess or obsolete stock while ensuring an uninterrupted flow of materials tomeet aerospace production requirements and maintain accuracy and efficiency.
    • Ensure timely and cost-effectivetransportation of materials to and from the aerospace production facility.
      Foster effective communication andcollaboration with internal departments such as aerospace production, qualitycontrol, and finance.
    • Identify opportunities for processimprovement within the aerospace materials management function. Implement bestpractices, leverage technology, and stay informed about industry trends toenhance overall efficiency in the aerospace industry.
    U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

    Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.
    YOU MUST HAVE
    • 8+ years ofexperience in materials management, procurement, and logistics, with a trackrecord of success in optimizing supply chain processes
    • 8+ years of experience managing, motivating,and guiding a related organization.
    • Strong technical skills in materialsmanagement systems and inventory control
    • Experience leading a team ofmaterials management professionals
    • Excellent problem-solving andtroubleshooting abilities
    • Strong attention to detail andability to work in a fast-paced environment.

    • Bachelor's degreein Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field in theaerospace industry.

    Incentive Eligible
    Salary Range:$181,000 - $225,500
