Job SummaryGordon Brothers is looking for a Business Development & Strategy Analyst to help inform our unique suite of product solutions and enterprise client service model.
The analyst will collaborate across Gordon Brothers to inform business decisions, drive deal strategies and enable the business to capitalize on change.
They will provide business and functional area partners with objective, credible and actionable insights; helping to profitably grow the business, build the brand and positively position Gordon Brothers within the marketplace.
This role will be based in our global headquarters in Boston, Massachusetts and report into the Head of Business Development.
The role obtains, analyzes and synthesizes internal and external data sources to identify and size market and industry opportunities, understand competitors' actions, and monitor external trends and their potential impact on the business.
As an Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting research, becoming an expert on assigned topics and creating project deliverables.
Job Responsibilities/Essential Job FunctionsConduct thorough research by identifying appropriate data sources, including market, economic, financial, client and third-party influencer sources, to analyze and synthesize the data into actionable insights.
Provide competitive analysis on various companies' market offerings, identify market trends, pricing/business models, sales and methods of operationHelp develop business recommendations to internal clients, based on internal and external research, while demonstrating insight, creativity, and neutrality
Support, analyze, and quantify the effectiveness of sales and marketing programs and strategies
Assess and recommend how to evolve our brand and ability to access additional opportunities
Produce clear and concise write-ups, presentations, and reports of findings
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Demonstrated ability to analyze and summarize information from data models or qualitative data to perform market, industry or economic analyses
Working knowledge of data warehousing, modelling and mining
Proven research analysis experience
Can thrive in a challenging, fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment where accountability is highly valued
Ability to interpret large amounts of data and to multi-task
Proven ability to build relationships and work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment
Ability to deal with ambiguity while solving problems
Learn quickly, demonstrate initiative and adapt / adjust to shifting priorities
Strong communication and presentation skills
Expert in Excel & PowerPoint
Education, Experience
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, economics, engineering, mathematics, statistics or comparable analytical degree preferred
5+ years of research or related analytical experience preferred
Financial services experience highly preferred
Familiarity with CRM programs
