    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    (include but not limited to):


    Engage stakeholders to foster robust working relationships and effective communication channels, involving business users, subject matter experts, and project teams.

    Elicit comprehensive business requirements using techniques such as interviews, workshops, surveys, and observations, ensuring accuracy and inclusiveness.

    Document business requirements clearly in structured formats, such as Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), Use Cases, User Stories, and Process Flows, for a common understanding among all stakeholders.

    Analyze and document current business processes through techniques like process flow diagrams and swimlane diagrams to comprehend workflows. Propose optimized processes aligned with business objectives, reducing redundancies, and enhancing efficiency.
    Assess the feasibility of business process reengineering for improvements. Monitor and evaluate implemented process enhancements, continuously seeking stakeholder feedback for further opportunities.

    Prepare a detailed and well-structured business case document presenting project objectives, benefits, costs, risks, and other vital information for aiding decision-making by key stakeholders and senior management.

    Develop a comprehensive test plan outlining the testing scope, objectives, test scenarios, test cases, test data, and resources required for each project phase.

    Create detailed test cases and test scripts based on defined test scenarios, documenting steps, expected results, and any necessary preconditions or test data.

    Monitor and enforce quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle, identifying and tracking defects, collaborating with the development team for resolutions, and conducting retesting to validate fixes before release.

    Facilitate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts, coordinating with end-users to validate the solution's functionality and verify it meets business needs before deployment.

    Develop strategies for managing organizational change during implementation, including communication plans, training programs, and addressing resistance to ensure smooth adoption.

    Create comprehensive end-user documentation, such as user manuals, guides, and FAQs, to provide clear instructions on effectively using the new IT system.

    Offer continuous support to end-users, assisting them with software-related inquiries, and providing training as needed to enhance their understanding and usage of the system.

    Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues reported by end-users related to the off-the-shelf software, providing timely resolutions or escalating to the appropriate support channels.

    Customize the off-the-shelf software to align with specific business needs and requirements, ensuring optimal system functionality for the organization.

    Establish and maintain effective communication with the software vendor, reporting bugs, requesting enhancements, and staying informed about software updates or patches.


    JOB REQUIREMENTS
    (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

    Possesses a strong understanding of Healthcare industry practices and systems, and/or Finance and/or Revenue Cycle Management processes and systems.

    Demonstrates proficiency in business analysis techniques, encompassing requirements gathering, process modeling, and data analysis, to effectively translate business needs into technical solutions.

    Exhibits strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of identifying and addressing complex business challenges with effective solutions.

    Familiar with IT systems and technologies commonly used in healthcare, including EHR systems, health data standards (e.g., HL7, CDA), and healthcare application integration.

    Displays customer-focused verbal and written communication skills, ensuring effective interactions with stakeholders.
    Highly detail-oriented, adept at analyzing large volumes of data.
    Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously with dynamic requirements.
    Self-motivated and able to work with little or no guidance.
    Demonstrates superb organization, time management, and documentation skills.


    EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:
    Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Management Information Systems, IT or related filed. Relevant experience will be considered in lieu of education.
    5+ years in healthcare as a business analyst
    3+ years working with ERP Systems, Financial Information Systems, and/or EMR/EHR Systems

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
    Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching.
    Must possess sufficient eye-hand coordination/manual dexterity to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment.
    Required normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports and evaluations.
