    What is this role about?

    The Home Care Consultant (HCC) performs a variety of sales, marketing, and administrative duties, directly expanding the company's capacity to care. Responsibilities include answering home care service inquiries, nurturing relationships between prospective clients and their families, building relationships with referral providers in the industry, conducting in-home consultations with families, and coordinating matches between current clients and their Care Professionals. In using the consultative sales approach, they become a valuable resource to seniors and their families. An effective Home Care Consultant can provide appropriate referrals to families in need while also creating extraordinary matches between clients and employees. A listening ear combined with thorough follow up help to continuously increase quality of care, client satisfaction, and service hours.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Research and develop Referral Provider Network relationships. Target accounts include, but are not limited to, hospitals, physicians, home health agencies, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, senior centers, hospice, rehabilitation centers, etc.
    • Develop and maintain knowledge of Home Instead brand. Effectively present Home Instead marketing materials and services to referral providers. Plan, arrange, and conduct formal group presentations to referral providers.
    • Conduct Service Inquiries and in-home Care Consultations following the consultative sales process.
    • Diagnose client needs and identify referral source, recommending appropriate Home Instead services and additional community resources.
    • Maintain consistent follow-up with potential clients and families who have yet to commit to service (bonus for each completed consultation you schedule).
    • Maintain accurate records of all sales and marketing activities within Salesforce.
    • Onboard new clients, including entering care plans and reviewing completed paperwork.
    • Assist in creating extraordinary client-caregiver matches while working with other team members to coordinate various aspects of a senior's care.
    • Log client calls, documenting records of your efforts to create or maintain the highest quality service possible.
    • Conduct client/Care Pro introductions as needed with new clients or Care Pros.
    • Answer incoming calls to assist with scheduling of employees, monitoring attendance, and ensuring appropriate care.
    • Demonstrate open and effective communication with the franchise owner, colleagues, Care Pros, clients and family members.
    • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.

    Education/Experience Requirements:

    • College degree required or equivalent sales, marketing, or healthcare experience
    • Business or sales experience (consultative sales a plus)
    • Must possess a valid driver's license

    Knowledge, skills and Abilities:

    • Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to listen effectively
    • Must have the ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality of information and meet deadlines
    • Must have the ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills is essential as well as sound judgment and good decision-making
    • Must demonstrate discretion, integrity and fair-mindedness consistent with company standards, practices, policies and procedures
    • Must have the ability to organize and prioritize daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly work
    • Must have the ability to establish good working relationships with office colleagues, the franchise owner, clients and the community
    • Must present a professional appearance and demeanor
    • Must have computer skills and be proficient in Word and Excel
    • Must have the ability to use Salesforce
