Description
Plant Operations Manager(Non-Exempt) Monday – Friday; some on-call hours may be required.
Position Summary
Knowledge of hospital environment of care
Provide preventative maintenance functions
Repairs involving plumbing components and systems such as:
electrical, drywall, painting, HVAC systems, furnishings, and equipment.

QualificationsHigh School Diploma
Certifications/Licenses
None required.
Hands-on
Ability to handle and operate a variety of electrical and manual tools and equipment. Capable of gloving hands for protection. Capable of moving and installing a variety of furniture, equipment and accessories. Capable of lifting trash into dumpster. Capable of operating door mechanisms and locking doors. Ability to operate a computer keyboard, copier, fax and telephone. Must be capable of holding a pen/pencil and writing information legibly in order to maintain written records.
Other
Ability to interact and communicate appropriately with co-workers, patients, vendors, contractors and visitors. Ability to compile information into professional format for manuals, logs and reports. Ability to identify priorities and handle multiple priorities. Ability to identify materials needed to complete tasks and projects. Ability to assist Supervisor in developing preventative maintenance programs and record keeping systems.
Working Conditions
Exposed to cleaning agents, chemicals and sharps. Works in precarious or high locations (stepstools, ladder, etc.).
Exposure to:
Infection and to the risk of blood borne diseases; hazardous agents, body fluids and wastes; unpleasant patient or departmental elements; to potentially violent/aggressive patients/staff/visitors, critical incidents, and/or sentinel events.
