    Description

    SUMMARY:

    Leads and coordinates the activities of the Shipping and Receiving Departments, Yarn Department, Packaging Department, and Print Shop through the supervision of hourly personnel. Works with independence in carrying out duties with limited supervision.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Handles all operations in each department and is responsible for:
    - Efficiency levels - Attendance

    - Labor Cost - Housekeeping/Cleanliness

    - Inventory Levels - Inventory Accuracy
    • Direct the planning and assigning of work for the most efficient use of personnel and equipment. Responsible for hiring, terminations, administering company policy, setting performance goals, and training of new employees.
    • Adhere to company policies, including attendance and punctuality.
    • Communicate with co-workers, management and others in a courteous and professional manner;
    • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
    Other duties assigned by management are a part of this job description.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Leads a team of individuals to maintain and provide short and long-term production schedules which maximize efficiency, fill rates and on time delivery for the Cleveland facility.
    • Maintain staff by selecting, orienting, and training employees, including developing personal growth opportunities.
    • Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations and accountabilities; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; counseling and disciplining employees.
    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
    • High school diploma or relevant work experience.
    • 3 years of Supervisory experience in Manufacturing preferred.
    • Knowledge / experience of MRP System or Dynamics Software preferred.
    KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
    • Possess excellent human relations skills, communications skills, and leadership ability.
    • Sense of urgency toward departmental goals.
    • Above average attendance.
    • Successful performance at leader level.
