    Work Control and Facility Scheduling team is hiring a Work Control Maintenance Planner to work at our Research and Education Campus.

    This position will work a 9-80 schedule with every other Friday off Responsibilities:

    Develop fabrication, I&C, electrical, and/or mechanical work instructions for skilled craft personnel that provide safe, workable instructions using computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

    Ensure written instructions are in compliance with INL work control process, and with Quality, Training, Environmental, Industrial Hygiene, Radiological, Safety and Health and other applicable regulatory requirements.

    Function as a single point of contact for resolving work control issues from initiation to work completion. Serve as the primary interface on work control documents with affected organizations. Provide input to engineering and research organizations based on knowledge and experience of work control planning for facilities.

    Perform walkdowns of job sites with appropriate SMEs to identify hazards and appropriate mitigations and incorporate them into work control documentation.

    Estimate labor hours and material costs to complete activities.

    Exercise decision-making to involve appropriate crafts, customers, and other subject matter experts in work planning activities to fully understand the hazards involved in performing work.

    Represent the organization on committees as requested by management. Determine the type and number of materials necessary to complete requested activities. Obtain assistance from Engineering for materials requiring engineering specification. Order required materials and track status to support work scheduling. Identify and develop preventive maintenance procedures for assigned facilities. Comply with applicable internal documents and regulations (i.e., LWPs and MCPs). Review completed work orders and resolve feedback. Collaborate with Facility Managers and crafts to understand and apply recommended improvements. Revise work control documents as necessary.

    Mentor other planners in areas of individual knowledge and experience through the 'On the Job Training' process of qualifying operators on equipment.

    Complete and maintain qualification specified for assigned tasks. Provide input to engineering and research organizations based on knowledge and experience of work control planning for REC facilities. Other duties as assigned.


    Minimum Requirements:

    Bachelor's degree and 2-5 years of relevant experience, Master's degree plus 1-3 years of relevant experience, PhD, or 10 years of electrical or HVAC mechanical experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

    Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software. Experience with operating/maintaining industrial mechanical systems. Experience testing over current protection devices. Experience and knowledge with electrical distribution systems and components.
