      Shift is 12pm-830pm, no exceptions.

      The schedule will include working every other weekend and holidays as needed, no exceptions

      The title of the job could be either a discharge cleaner or a housekeeper.

      The biggest difference between the two is a discharge cleaner cleans rooms when patients are discharged (focuses on discharged rooms only) while a housekeeper maintains all areas of the hospital with cleanliness. Please make sure your candidate understands the difference between the two job titles.

      The attire for this position is a solid colored t-shirt (dark colors preferred) and black pants. No leggings or yoga pants. Please make sure your candidate can provide their own attire until they are provided a uniform. They should be provided a uniform during the first few days of training.

      This is a temp to perm opportunity. Contractors MUST have good attendance and be on time for their shifts. If they do not have good attendance, they will be terminated and they will not convert to perm.

      All Candidates are expected to work every other weekend (it's a bi-weekly rotational schedule) and holidays. Please confirm this prior to submitting candidates. There is no exceptions to this and candidates who can't work weekends and holidays will not get an offer. Candidates should be prepared to work New Years Day but this will be confirmed during their first few days of training.

      First week of orientation may require hours to differ. The first 2-3 days the schedule could be 8a-4p or 3p-11p for training. Please make sure your candidate can work either of these schedules during the first 2-3 days. Once they complete the first 2-3 days, they will do side by side training working their regular schedule.

      GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION FOR HOUSEKEEPER OR DISCHARGE CLEANER:

      Provides general cleaning and services to patient rooms, rest rooms, nurses stations, corridoes, conference rooms, utility rooms, treatment areas, kitchens, solariums, offices, lobbies, lounges, stairwells and waiting rooms.
      Cleans commodes, tubs, sinks, plumbing, mirrors, window sills, furniture, equipment and any other dust gathering services.
      Spot wash walls and doors including frames, Spot cleans and vacuums carpets. Mops floors
      Replenishes toilet tissues, paper towels, and soap.
      Notify appropriate staff of room/bed readiness.
      Cleans and makes unoccupied beds. Cleans and services patient rooms after receiving discharge notification and prepares patient unit for new admission.
      May operate small motorized and battery operated equipment as part of non-routine functions.
      Performs other duties as directed.

      WORKING CONDITIONS FOR EITHER POSITION:
      Must be able to move about hospital and between workstations.
      Must be able to move and/or lift material and dirty rags weighing up to 10 pounds, 70% of the time; move carts weighing up to 40 lbs., 10% of the time; and move carts weighing up to 50 lbs., 20% of the time.
      Position involves stooping, bending, reaching, stretching, pushing and pulling.
