    Job Summary:


    Under general direction and supervision and in accordance with prescription, operates x-ray therapy equipment in order to simulate and/or treat patients for malignancies and pain.


    Responsibilities:

    • Documents treatment procedures in patient's charts and verifies accuracy.
    • Performs quality assurance checks daily on equipment.
    • Performs calculations when required.
    • Operates and maintains competency on CT simulator with use of IV contrast KCC radiation department specific.
    • Demonstrates competency on special procedures which may include Stereotactic, HDR, TBI, and ultrasound guided procedures.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy Technology or graduate of a CAHEA accredited school to Radiation Therapy or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Current registration with the ARRT. Any change in status from "Compliant registered Therapist", will result in employment status review by Department Manager and Human Resources. Unsuccessful completion of the registry examination within nine months will result in a nonqualified employee.
    • Two or more years experience or equivalent in Radiation Oncology.
