Job summary
Culinary Assistant / Server provides meal service to residents/tenants under sanitary conditions and in a respectful timely manner by communicating coordinating cooperating with others to carry out the operations of the Nutrition and Culinary Services department.
Responsibilities
- Offers serves menu choices to residents in a cheerful respectful manner
- Follows portion control size standards Thoroughly cleans sanitizes all dishes tables equipment utensils containers used to provide meals as well as other assigned cleaning duties Operates equipment in a proper safe sanitary respectful manner Prepares various menu items as assigned by the Nutrition Culinary Director Coordinator or Culinary Cook Monitors daily menu items in order to verify that all necessary items are prepared labeled Stores leftovers appropriately according to food handling standards Organizes plans work schedule to meet times for serving Operates dish machine according to directions Pre-soaks sorts dishes utensils Assists in accepting vendor deliveries storing items in proper areas
