    Teletronic Division of DCX-CHOL Enterprises Inc. is seeking an experienced Purchasing Agent with the following criteria:

    SUMMARY OF POSITION:

    Purchasing Agent will purchase merchandise, materials, components, equipment, services, managing simple and complex purchase request, quote, sourcing decisions and exciting strategies.

    Key Performance Indictors:

    • Purchase materials, parts, supplies, equipment, services plan accordingly, following purchasing policies and procedures to optimize price, delivery, and terms.
    • Solicits bids and quotations; reviews and negotiates purchase contracts for major commitments, and evaluate the many pros and cons of each, based on speed, pricing, lead time and quality.
    • Analyzes and evaluates suppliers; issues purchase orders; follow up; expedites as necessary
    • Maintaining vendor relationships, working with multiple vendors to determine the best deals for the company
    • Assist with AP issues to insure timely matching and payment of supplier invoices and drive continuous improvement of material/ component savings opportunities
    • Supports ERP system activities by expediting material, reviewing and executing shortages, managing open orders, and maintain procurement records
    • Interface closely with receiving, stockroom, engineering, quality, production, administration, and all levels of management to maintain daily and monthly schedules
    • Provides input to management regarding problems such as shortages, design changes, and backlogs
    • Utilizes the manufacturing resources planning ERP system to understand demand, place purchase orders, maintain supplier information, and validate lead times and pricing, and safety stock levels
    • Manage safety stock based on variability of demand and supply to minimize cost of inventory while meeting customer service objectives
    • Identifies process creation and/ or improvement opportunities and strives for continuous improvement in the role and function.
    • Performs other related duties as required

    Qualification/ Experience:

    Education:


    • Equivalent of 5-10 years experience in Accounts Payable, Purchasing or related area.


    • Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office applications such as (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) required.


    • Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.


    • Ability to lift 20-30 lbs.
