    We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Surgical/Telemetry team on the Day Shift in a fulltime position Our Medical/Surgical Unit is a 36 bed unit focused on providing a high level of direct and individualized care to treat patients with a variety of general and specialized surgical procedures, including orthopedic, bariatric, urology, and cardiac.

    General medical population to include respiratory, endocrine, nephrology, neurology, cardiology and wound care.


    Job Duties:
    Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing careAssists physicians during examinations and proceduresPerforms various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nursePromotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skillsRelies on experience and judgment to perform a variety of tasks and accomplish goals

    Minimum Requirements:
    Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited RN program.

    Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferredCurrent license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas, or license with a compact state required upon hireCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.

    Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferredMinimum of one (1) year of experience in an acute care hospital Med/Surg unit preferredOrthopedics experience highly desiredTelemetry experience preferredWhat We Offer:
