    Job Summary

    Responsible for procurement and tracking functions directly associated with the Company's need for repair/improvement parts and related outside services. Coordinate execution of order tracking pertaining to assigned maintenance parts and/or service. Ensure timely and effective communication and coordination with all internal and external customers. Communicate and coordinate with all departments involved to achieve the highest possible customer service levels.

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential)
    1. Promote safety, practice safe work habits and comply with safety policies at all times.
    2. Coordinate purchasing and planning processes to ensure production orders are finished on time, which includes prioritizing workloads, receiving outside vendor work timely and problem solving throughout process to ensure dates comply.
    3. Initiates purchase orders and amendments for parts, services and/or special tools; maintains close coordination with maintenance manager/supervisor and operations leadership to ensure proper coordination of outside service/contractors.*
    4. Secures and analyzes quotations, negotiates prices and delivery terms with suppliers, and recommends vendors with respect to cost, quality, and delivery competitiveness for assigned responsibilities.*
    5. Works closely with warehouse plant personnel on the schedule of shipping and receiving of orders to ensure timely shipments and receipt of materials.*
    6. Creates purchase orders for outside process applications to current suppliers that are part of the needed maintenance/repair activity. Makes determination of priorities and problem solves with these suppliers to receive the purchase order in the time frame required.*
    7. Works to identify and reduce barriers to support maintenance/repair schedule attainment by identifying and communicating material and resource shortages for open maintenance items. Must understand why and work to help alleviate roadblocks and ensure purchased parts are expedited.*
    8. Perform other duties as assigned.
    9. Maintain a friendly "Service" oriented philosophy with co-workers, other departments and customers.
    10. Practice andpromote good housekeeping measures, and support all company efforts to comply with OSHA and environmental regulations.
    11. Back up all PC files to the network weekly.
    12. Perform all other duties as assigned.

    Special Location/Position Requirements:
    • Location: Tulsa mid-metro area location. In Plant officed.
    • Experience with local industrial part supply base preferred.
    • Willingness to work reasonable flexible hours and extra time on an as-needed basis, involving extra hours during the week, Saturdays, and occasionally Sundays and Holidays

    Job Specifications (Work Experience, Skills, Abilities, etc.)
    • Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience in Purchasing.
    • Relevant work experience in large, multi-product manufacturing business of highly engineered products required.
    • Knowledge of fundamentals of material requirements planning, shipping/receiving, inventory, and supply chain function.
    • Proven ability to prioritize workloads with suppliers and problem solve to ensure dates comply as to when purchase orders for outside process must be received in order for the production order to finish on time.
    • Ability to deal with large degree of detailed information and prioritize resources to drive results.
    • Ability to develop and manage supplier relationships.
    • Proficient in SAP. Adept in leveraging knowledge of Microsoft Office products & environment (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.).
    • Demonstrated effective communication skills, verbal and written.
    • Excellent negotiation skills required.
    • Customer focus driven.
    • Proven ability to problem solve collaboratively and cross-functionally.
    • Ability to be effective in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
    • Self-starter who seeks out ways to improve processes before being asked.

    Education Requirements:

    High School Diploma or equivalent required. Some college desired.

    Physical Demands/Environmental Conditions:

    Normal plant/office conditions. Office may be located in a multi-level production building. Job demands may require long periods of sitting, telephone work, and/or computer work, as well as interaction with other people. Normal office conditions include walking, standing, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, lifting, driving, and/or traveling.

    Daily exposure to shop conditions, which are variable depending on the task assigned, but are generally dirty. Is subject to shop noise. Involves extensive standing and walking. Skin and eyes are subject to drying and irritating fumes, vapors and solutions controlled to OSHA standards. Works both in and outdoors with sometimes dusty or confining work areas when in the shop/lab.
