Mission or Goal of Unit: The mission of the Department ofObstetrics and Gynecology is to provide the highest quality clinical care inboth general and specialty Obstetrics and Gynecology to central Virginia. Inaddition to the clinical mission, the department has the allied goals ofproviding undergraduate and graduate medical education in the field andadvancing the field through basic and clinical research. The Department is committed to enhance diversity among its faculty, staff, andlearners. Department faculty are responsible for providing services to theirprofession and to the University Community. Chief Purpose of this position: The Department of Obstetrics andGynecology is seeking qualified candidates to provide specialty care ingynecologic oncology to patients at VCU Health. This position is designed toprovide care in gynecologic oncology within the Division of GynecologicOncology, including surgery, in- and outpatient consultation, chemotherapy, andin- and outpatient management of patients with gynecologic cancers. Theposition will include participation in student and resident education as wellas in the department's clinical research activities. Position Responsibilities: TeachingThe faculty member will have teaching responsibilities to include activelyparticipating in the department's educational activities, with particularattention to educating students and residents in their core educationalobjectives in gynecologic oncology.
