    Our Company: Bernard Chaus, Inc., designs, sources, and markets nationally and internationally an extensive range of women's career, casual sportswear, and dresses. Their products are sold through all primary retail distribution levels, principally under various trademarks and under private label brand names.

    Responsibilities:

    • Create all aspects of design tech packs.
    • Strong ability to Sketch and CAD on Illustrator.
    • Comment on Lab dips and strike offs for sweater and trim
    • Maintain library of all items together so they will match the color standards
    • Work in a fast-paced environment and is proactive in finding solutions to difficult
    • Communicate daily with our overseas factories to ensure all samples are on schedule in accordance to the calendar.

    Requirements

    • Associate degree in Fashion Design required
    • Min. 4-8 years of SWEATER experience required
    • Color experience preferred
    • Clear and concise communication skills
    • Excellent time management, organization skills and work ethic
    • Must be able to jump into sketching and CAD'ing efficiently in Illustrator
    • Knowledge of working with prints + patterns in Adobe Photoshop and working between Illustrator and Photoshop
    • Experience working on sweater construction, GG, and yarn
    • Understanding and experience creating tech packs and spec'ing new designs and protos
    • Excellent eye for detail and proportions
    • Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, juggle multiple projects at once and meet tight deadlines
    • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop
    • Strong in Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Office

    The salary range offered for this full-time, exempt role is between $80-100k based on experience.
