    Position: Human Resources and Business Operations Associate

    Location: Greenwich, CT (on-site 4/5 days a week)

    Reports To: President & COO

    Status: Exempt – Full Time

    Position Description:

    We are currently seeking an HR and Business Operations Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources, administration, and/or business operations. You will play a crucial role in supporting the CEO and President/COO with HR and business operations while contributing to our mission of climate change mitigation and adaptation.

    This is a unique role that offers a high level of exposure to an entry-level candidate, with the opportunity to grow within the company over time. We are seeking someone eager, energetic, and unafraid to ask questions. Success means being a problem solver who finds solutions quickly. You will be instrumental in facilitating communication, aligning departments, and driving key initiatives.

    HR Administration (50%):

    • Administer benefits plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
    • Run biweekly payroll and monthly contractor payments using Engage (PEO provider), ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
    • Assist with recruiting efforts and coordinating onboarding and offboarding activities.
    • Develop and manage the company's internship program, including recruiting interns and coordinating their activities.
    • Identify opportunities and help refine processes or develop new ones.
    • Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns and issues.
    • Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, compliance requirements, organizational charts, and contribute to policy development.
    • Compile and maintain employee files, records, and documentation, produce reports as requested.
    • Assist with day-to-day operations of HR functions and duties.

    Business Operations (50%):

    • Work with the key leadership to prepare comprehensive board packages, including reports, presentations, and other relevant materials
    • Collect, analyze, and manipulate data to inform decision-making.
    • Plan and execute company sponsored events, conferences/offsites, and leadership meetings, including logistics, agenda planning, and coordination with external vendors.
    • Coordinate executive communications and meetings, including preparing agendas, presentations, and meeting materials.
    • Assist with cross-functional special projects as needed.

    Qualifications:

    • Three to five years of comparable experience in a professional office
    • environment providing HR, business operations, and/or administrative support.
    • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
    • The ability to take initiative in identifying and anticipating needs.
    • A keen eye for aesthetics that can be applied to presentation creation.
    • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Outgoing personality with strong presentation skills to effectively
    • communicate with all levels of the organization and external partners.
    • Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively within a dynamic
    • environment.
