    Job Description Total Process Safety Engineer -Valdosta, GAAs the Total Process Safety Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of leading change.

    Your role will be to own the implementation of the Total Process Safety (TPS) program, to meet corporate and local compliance standards.

    You'll leverage your technical expertise and exceptional team-building capabilities to engage our diverse workforce, ranging from frontline to leadership in advancing our TPS program.

    This role will be based at the Valdosta manufacturing plant.
    The position reports directly to the Engineering Manager.

    The Valdosta Complex, located in Valdosta, Ga, consists of 3 processing plants, and employs
    200 Plant Operations Colleagues and an additional
    50 Contractors.
    This position will collaborate and coordinate with other ADM cottonseed processing facilities in North America.

    Job ResponsibilitiesLead the process safety program for the facility:
    implement, manage, maintain and improve.
    Coordinate process safety activities at the facility.
    Lead the facility's TPS Committee.

    Establish a safety culture across the facility based on reviewing and meeting goals, continuous risk reduction and prevention of process safety incidents.

    Monitor, evaluate and report process safety performance at the facility and work with leadership on developing and implementing improvements, working collaboratively with the TPS Technology Team on TPS programs and goals.

    Working with the Global Process Hazard Analysis Manager, lead or participate in local Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) and related action plans.

    Lead or facilitate local TPS incident investigations; prepare and share Safety Alerts and Best Practices.
    Act as the Process Safety Reviewer on Management of Change (MOC) requests for the facility.
    Act as the facility's TPS Representative on Improvement projects and Capital Investment projects.
    Provide TPS training to different layers of plant leadership and engineers at the facility.

    Maintain and update the facility's PSM programs and manage implementation in the plant to keep the facility safe and in compliance.

    Participate in PSM and TPS Audits; conduct or lead self-assessments for the facility.
    Organize and ensure maintenance of technical process safety documentation.
    Act as the facility's Fire Protection System (FPS)

    Coordinator.
    Coordinate Mechanical Integrity efforts and compliance.

    Job RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, and Agricultural Engineering)2+ years of process safety experience preferably in a chemical manufacturing or agricultural processing facilityRobust experience in applying the 14 elements of PSMStrong problem solving, diagnostic and analytical skills, with a results focused approachStrong hands on leadership style, change management and project/program management skillsExcellent time and priority management skills to balance time spent in plant and in the office (70/30)Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, acts as a reliable pro-active communicatorA drive for success, a continuous improvement approach, a consistently positive attitude and outlookCultural awareness and the ability to bridge cross-cultural boundariesMust be able to accomplish results by working effectively with others and be willing and able to work in plant areas (i.e.

    walk long distances, stand, climb stairs and ladders and move through close spaces) to understand and monitor the process. Must be able to respond quickly to changing requirements and be capable of working in hot and cold temperatures.
