    Media & Communications Specialist

    Position Description

    ORGANIZATIONAL MISSION: Our mission is to bring out the limitless potential in young leaders through extraordinary experiences and nurturing relationships.

    POSITION MISSION: Communicate the story of Day Camp & Community Camp to families and community members through photography, videography, and nurturing relationships.

    BASIC FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITY

    • Capture, post, upload and organize photos on social media, organization database, and Google Photos.
    • Assist with capturing video interviews of camp participants.
    • Build nurturing relationships and engage regularly with program participants.
    • Manage special photo or video projects to celebrate camp, staff, and campers and for promotional materials.
    • Must be available to start by June 24th.
    • Must be available to complete position hours Monday through Friday between the hours of 10am and 5pm.

    COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

    • This position 15-20 hours per week, compensated at $16.25 per hour.
    • Our summer seasonal staff are paid on a bi-weekly basis and are classified as exempt, seasonal employees.

    • You believe that with the right support and access to quality programs and experiences that all young people are able to achieve at the highest level imaginable.
    • Experience with or ability to learn to use Canva, Facebook, and Instagram.
    • You have an ability to communicate effectively with staff, campers, and their families.
    • May be expected to collaborate with and provide coaching to Leader in Training participant interns

    REQUIREMENTS & CERTIFICATIONS

    • A driver's license valid in the state of Wisconsin.
    • Must be at least 18 and/or have a high school diploma or GED to apply.
    • Experience with photography, videography, and video editing.

    REPORTING AND RELATIONSHIPS

    • You will report to the Impact & Engagement Manager.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS

    • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time.
