Description

As a SQL Database Administrator, this person will be working closing with application teams for implementing project specific tasks, maintain existing databases and perform daily/weekly/monthly/yearly tasks.

Will involve in DR activities.

Duties:

Project Development Support
Tuning, Monitoring and Patching
Inter/Intra Organizational Communication
Backup and Recovery
Security and Compliance of the SQL Server database environment

Minimum Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor's or master's degree in information systems (IS), Computer Science, software engineering, information technology and/or equivalent industry experience.

Position Requirements:

5-8 years of Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator experience
2-4 years of experience in working large scale projects.
Should have knowledge of cloud computing concepts, virtualization, and infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) platforms.
1-2 years of experience in SOX related requests.
Strong technical knowledge of SQL Server database administration, architecture/design, data analysis and management
Strong technical knowledge of current SQL Server database systems and versions, including other Windows based tools, utilities and active directory.
Extensive application support experience working with application teams.
High-level understanding of IT infrastructure planning and development.
Excellent understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.
In-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
Good understanding of Project Management skills.
Automotive industry IT knowledge is preferred.
