The UNC General and Bariatric Surgery Clinic at Hillsborough is expanding our team and seeking to hire a Clinical Nurse II This Faculty Physicians' based clinic is housed on the UNC Hillsborough campus, in the Medical Office Building.
This position is hourly, with a 40-hour workweek. The typical hours for this position are 8:00am-4:30pm Monday through Friday, with some room for flexibility.
The ideal candidate has a background in caring for surgical patients, and a passion for interdepartmental collaboration. The responsibilities of this position include supporting General and Bariatric Surgery providers, with an emphasis in patient education.
Day-to-day operations of the clinic include rooming patients, responding to patient inquiries, facilitating prior authorizations, assisting providers, and other clinical and administrative tasks.
Summary:
Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards.
Reporting and accountable to the Nurse Manager/Director, the Clinical Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting.
