    JOB PROFILE

    CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
    AUSTIN, TEXAS

    The Company:
    Faith-based, nonprofit healthcare organization based out of Austin, Texas.

    Scope of the Job:


    This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer and will be based at the corporate headquarters in West Austin, Texas.

    The Chief Financial Officer position is accountable for multiple financial and administrative areas within the organization.

    The role of the Chief Financial Officer will include direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, deal analysis and negotiations, third-party relations, and human resources.

    This includes the development of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve the organization's assets and report accurate financial results.


    You will to responsible for:
    The preparation of the annual budget.
    The preparation of documentation for board meetings.
    The preparation of reports for board members.
    The management of all escrow investments and portfolios.
    Coordinating the preparation of annual filings with outside CPA firms and auditors.
    Working with the outside auditor on annual audits.
    Managing all bank and investment accounts.
    The preparation of work papers supporting the monthly close process and month-end balances on all accounts.
    Preparation of monthly financial statements and related footnotes.


    Performing cash projections to effectively manage cash balances and maximize the return on any excess cash balances in the escrow account.

    Preparation and submission of semi-monthly payroll and payroll taxes.
    Coordinating and recording investment deposits.
    Assisting the CEO/COO in creating and maintaining records for retirement accounts (i.e., 403(b) Plan, 457 Plan, etc.).

    The review of expenses incurred on behalf of multiple entities, such as software costs, accounting/CPA services, legal services, and analytical services.

    Ensuring compliance with all applicable financial laws, rules, and regulations.
    Managing accounts payable to ensure accuracy from outside vendors
    The production of all financial information accurately & timely.
    Producing annual 1099 Forms.
    Producing annual giving statements.
    Working with the CEO/COO on building the organization through benevolent giving, fundraising opportunities, and member touchpoints.
    Other duties as assigned.

    The successful candidate will:
    Be a high-caliber finance professional who can expand beyond the numbers and tell the story. He or she will be highly trustworthy, ethical, and a collaborative team player.
    Possess a strong work ethic and quickly establish trust and credibility.
    Have knowledge of pricing analysis strategies, project management and FP&A.
    Have 10-15 years of progressive finance experience, including some management experience.
    A business Degree in accounting or finance; a master's Degree (or equivalent experience) is highly desired.
