Catalent Pharma Solutions in Kansas City, MO is hiring a Staff Pharmacist. The Staff Pharmacist will be responsible for the daily execution of Direct to Patient shipments in support of clinical protocols approved for DTP services. The Staff Pharmacist role is critical to our patients. Providing life changing medications direct to patients, with patient safety in mind, executing with efficiency always. Quality, safety and on-time delivery is a must to be successful in this role

The Role:

• Review/fill orders based on clinical protocol direct to patient "shipment orders"
• Receives, fills and refills orders in compliance with federal, state and local laws and Company policies, ensuring the correct medication is "dispensed" to patients
• Understands, implements and maintains Pharmacy Board Standards within the facility
• Serves as a liaison between the pharmacy and protocol sponsor/Investigator
• Organizes the pharmacy in an efficient manner, making the clear identification and separation of products a priority
• Maintains HIPAA compliance in all functions of the job
• Keep abreast of advancements in medicine
• Represents Catalent with internal and external customers, as required
• Trains associates in the use and operation of the pharmacy system(s)
• Other duties as assigned

The Candidate:

• Graduate of an ACPE accredited College of Pharmacy (BS or PharmD)
• Licensed Pharmacist in Pennsylvania- valid, current license required
• Licensed/certified in other states' pharmacy law a plus OR Ability to become licensed/certified in other states' pharmacy law
• Working knowledge of pharmacy software & MS Office
• Occasional need to work "off hours" for emergency patient shipments
• Good communication skills with a patient first approach/mindset
• Thorough knowledge of the drug development process including regulatory filings.
• High sense of urgency, attention to detail and result orientated.
• Must possess good oral and written communication skills
• Strong Team Player- ability to engage well with other team members
