- Triages patients, verifies allergies, symptoms and pharmacy.
- Utilizes nursing process to develop patient's plan of care.
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards.
- Demonstrates the ability to prioritize and organize patient care.
- Timely and accurate documentation which reflects clinic standards.
- Observes, records and reports patient's conditions and reactions to drugs and treatments to physicians.
- Prepare equipment and aids physicians during treatment, examination and testing of patients.
- Reviews lab and diagnostic test results with patients.
- Provides patient and family education regarding diagnostic procedures, medications, nutrition, and maintenance of health and wellness.
- Instructs patients in collection of samples and tests.
- Maintains/reviews patient records, charts and other pertinent information in Powerchart.
- Schedules OP radiology procedures and generates referrals to promote health as requested by physician.
- Performs blood draws, urine dips, rapid streps, influenza, mono, CMP, CBC, cardiac inhalation treatments.
- Handles specimens, performs lab testing in a timely manner and verifies results in Powerchart.
- Knows where all procedures are located and follows written guidelines for any lab performance.
- Assists in ordering of reagents, lab supplies, and medical supplies and cleans all surgical instruments and packages them for sterilization.
- Audits charts daily for missing charges and diagnoses.
- Associate's Degree in nursing required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare facility or private physician office.
- Valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- Intermediate computer knowledge: Uses Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows.

JOB SUMMARY
The Registered Nurse independently plans, implements and evaluates nursing care in patient care situations using standards of care, policies and procedures. The RN provides direct nursing care to patients.
