    • DOUBLE your salaryHealth Benefits401KPosition SummaryMaintains the grounds, facility, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current established policies and procedures, and federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations.
    Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintains general plant and facility in good repair, ensuring a safe, clean and orderly environment. Follows maintenance schedule and instructions from supervisor.
    Performs routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveway, etc., including cutting, trimming, sweeping as necessary or directed.

    Performs routine maintenance and repair on building and equipment including plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical, as directed, in accordance with established procedures.

    Cleans windows and screens as directed.

    Replaces burned out light bulbs including exit lights, overhead lights, fluorescent lights, room call lights, etc., and performs housekeeping duties in very high places.

    Services heating and cooling units and systems, as specified by the manufacturer, and in compliance with established policies and procedures.

    Perform unscheduled maintenance tasks as directed.
    Reports defective equipment and equipment malfunctions or breakdowns to supervisor as soon as possible.
    Ensures maintenance supplies have been replenished in work areas as necessary.
    May drive a company vehicle, as instructed.


    Qualifications:


    Previous related experience preferredMechanical aptitude requiredAbility to interact tactfully, effectively, and professionally with other employees, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public, as needed.

    Must be able to relate to and work with physically and/or mentally ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times hostile people within facility and treat them with respect and consideration regardless of their cognitive or functional levelBenefits:
