    This is an OPS (Other Personal Services) positions and as such no paid time off is offered. Health benefits will be offered for full-time employment. OPS employees are eligible to participate in a deferred compensation plan.

    POSITION DESCRIPTION:

    This position will provide advanced, comprehensive public health nursing services and immunization in the Community Health Outreach Department utilizing the public health nursing process, the incumbent will be required to independently conduct, coordinate, and monitor for quality control and assurance. Position reports directly to the Operations & Management Consultant II. Independently assess vaccine schedule and administers age-appropriate vaccines in clinics and outreach events.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. Are you willing to work before, during and/or beyond normal work hours, or days in the event of an emergency? Additionally, emergency duties are inclusive of working in Special Needs Shelters, or performing other emergency duties, but not limited to responses to or threats involving any disaster, man-made or natural
    2. Licensure as a Practical Nurse (LPN) in accordance with Chapter 464, Florida Statutes or eligible to practice nursing in accordance with Florida Administrative Code or 8.27.
    3. Current LPN licensure in the State of Florida.
    4. Six (6) months of nursing practice as an LPN working in a Public Health clinic, Skilled Nursing Facility or hospital care delivery system, or physician's office.
    5. Six (6) months or more working as LPN administering injectable medications.
    6. Able to work weekends, days, holidays, and evenings based on scheduled events.

    PRFERRED QUESTIONS:

    1. One (1) or more years as an LPN administering immunizations to infants, children, or adults.
    2. Work experience as an LPN working in a Pediatric Medical Office.
    3. Work experience as an LPN working in Public Health.
    4. Work experience as an LPN using Electronic Health Records.
