    Responsibilities:

    As a Maintenance Technician 2, you will conduct preventative and immediate maintenance on conveyors, electrical motors, material handling equipment, power tools, welding equipment, and more. You will also be responsible for general building maintenance, plumbing tasks, and carpentry work as necessary.

    Ensuring safety is our top priority, so we rely on you to promote secure work practices and embrace our safety culture.

    Your role is vital to the success of Staples Supply Chain as we meet the demands of our clients.

    Skills and Qualifications:

    • Mechanical aptitude, knowledge of hydraulics, and ability to read blueprints and schematics
    • Proficiency in using vendor manuals for maintenance tasks
    • Willingness to learn and obtain certifications for operating material handling equipment
    • Collaborative approach with colleagues and clients, strong problem-solving abilities
    • Quick adoption of safety procedures, ability to work in warehouse settings
    • Basic English language proficiency

    Basic Requirements:

    • High school diploma or GED
    • 1+ year of relevant experience
    • Ability to pass a drug screening
    • Flexibility to work additional hours and overtime shifts as necessary
    • Capability to work at heights and lift heavy items
    • Must be 18 years or older

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Background in a trade school
