    Purchasing/Accounts Payable Clerk

    The Sumner County Government Finance Department is accepting resumes for an immediate opening for a full-time Purchasing/Accounts Payable Clerk.

    The person in this position will work with the purchasing department to issue RFPs, review bid submissions, maintain bid files, issue purchase orders, and assist with processing accounts payables.


    Computer proficiency and an intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Excel are required; experience with the RFP/bid/purchase order and/or accounts payable processes are strongly desired; and a working knowledge of Tyler Munis software is a plus.

    Must have good organization and communication skills and be efficient and detail oriented. The regular schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm with overtime on an as-needed basis.

    Current starting pay is up to $40,000/annually, depending on experience, with a comprehensive benefits package offered. The deadline for submitting resumes is May 10, 2024.
