    About the Role

    We are looking for a high potential individual with a strong commitment to the actuarial profession to be part of the Americas P&C Reinsurance Actuarial and Reserving Team with the following responsibilities:

  • Core actuarial reserving work for portfolios covering variety of regions and lines of business, effectively engaging with stakeholders from Underwriting, Claims, Finance and Pricing;
  • Contribution to internal and external financial reporting;
  • Support for recently implemented IFRS 17, working closely with local and global project teams and across functions, e.g., Finance, IT, etc.;
  • Contribution to modeling and data visualization work;
  • Ad hoc projects, and providing supports to peers.
  • About the Team

    This position will report to a senior actuary based in Toronto, Canada. The Americas P&C Actuarial and Reserving team includes 13 actuaries and is responsible for reserving support for North and South America and the Caribbean. The Americas team is a part of the Global Reserving team that includes approximately 90 professionals specializing in actuarial work as well as data analytics, located all over the world.

    About You

  • University degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or Economics.
  • Experience in reserving, capital modelling and knowledge of financial reporting (e.g.. IFRS 4/IFRS 17) preferred
  • Recent graduate to 2 years of actuarial experience
  • Strong commitment to achieving FCAS designation in near future
